Having moved to the South of Vietnam for 6 years, but this is the
first time I've been to Mekong Delta. Luckily, a friend instructed and helped
me book the sampan of Victoria Cruise (Song Xanh Sampan). This is a Private
Cruise, which means we hire the whole sampan for a 2 day & 1 night trip
along the Mekong river. Very relaxing and interesting.

Cái này là Private Cruise nha, tức là mình thuê cả Cruises luôn để đi chơi 2 ngày 1 đêm trên Mekong, rất relax và thú vị.
The boats of Victoria Cruise were originally ‘invented’ by
a French businessman. When in Vietnam, he felt so attached to this Mekong land
that he built 5 ships similar to those of the Mekong royalty. The boats are
made of bamboos, giving a ‘exotic' feeling, yet still very polished and
luxurious. I have taken many cruises in Vietnam and I can affirm that the ships of Victoria Cruises are the best so far,
meeting 5* quality and the staff are super nice.
Thuyền của Victoria Cruises vốn dĩ là do 1 doanh nhân người Pháp, khi qua Việt Nam đã rất lưu luyến vùng đất Mekong này nên đã đóng 5 chiếc thuyền mô phỏng theo kiểu thuyền xưa của công tử và giới quý tộc vùng Mekong, sử dụng nan nứa nhìn thân thiện gần gũi kiểu miền sông nước nhưng vẫn rất sang trọng sạch sẽ. Mình từng thuê nhiều Cruises ở Việt Nam đi chơi qua đêm ở nhiều chỗ rồi và xin khẳng định là thuyền của Victoria Cruises là đẹp nhất, sạch sẽ tiêu chuẩn 5* và nhân viên thì siêu siêu dễ thương luôn.
We went to Can Tho by our private car and came back to Saigon by Victoria bus. I call it ‘bus’ but it’s actually a 6-seat Innova,
quite fast and comfy). Arriving at the port, Victoria Can Tho Hotel, we were
greeted right at the door, helped with our luggage, received welcome drink and
then the tour manager introduced the agenda and activities on the boat.
Our boat has one tour guide who is an expert about the Mekong
riverways, a helmsman and 3 other staff to take care of the cleaning, cooking
and other services. We were treated like princesses!
Lúc mình xuống tới Cần Thơ (có Bus của Victoria nhưng lúc đi xuống tụi mình đi xe riêng và về lại Saigon bằng bus của Victoria. Gọi là Bus nhưng thật ra là xe Innova 6 chỗ chạy rất nhanh gọn). Tới điểm port là khách sạn Victoria Cần Thơ, chúng mình được đón tận cửa, mang hành lí giúp và welcome drink rồi được anh quản lý tour hướng dẫn về lịch trình và những hoạt động sẽ làm trên boat.
Boat của mình có 1 tour guide người cực hiểu về sông nước Mekong, 1 lái tàu và 3 nhân viên lau dọn, phục vụ, bếp đi theo. Thật sự là được chăm lo tận răng sung sướng như tiên nữ

As we were too tired in the morning (night owls’ problem,
we couldn’t even depart at 7 am from Saigon as planned, had to linger till 10 am). This is the
reason why we couldn’t go to the floating market when we arrived). But I highly
recommend you should set off at 7 am to visit the floating market because Can
Tho floating market is the most beautiful and joyful.
Vì buổi sáng tụi mình mệt quá toàn bọn ngủ ngày cày đêm nên tuii mình ko thể xuất phát từ Saigon lúc 7am, mãi 10am mới đi được í. Nên buổi sáng tới nơi tuii mình không kịp đi chơi chợ nổi (floating market). Nhưng mình highly recommend mọi người nên cố gắng đi từ 7am nha, để kịp chơi chợ nổi nha thú vị lắm vì chợ nổi Cần Thơ là đông vui và đẹp nhất.
After checking in and resting a bit, we started to get on
board. I’ve always been told how friendly the southwest people are, but to be
honest I can’t imagine they’re lovely level max like this - always smiling,
warm and sincere. The boat left in the early afternoon. We travelled along
Mekong river, looking at the azure sky and cotton clouds… We were served fresh
coconut water – very southwest! We brought some bottles of champagne to sip
with chocolate and fruits. If you want to have champagne or snacks, you should
bring them yourself, because in the southwest there are no such things to buy,
only super super cheap fruits, vegetables and seafood.
Besides relaxing along the river, listening to the music,
tanning, watching the sunset, we had the chance to visit a 200-year-old house
where 3 generations have taken residence. You may choose to have dinner in this
house or on the boat. We chose the latter to enjoy the cool breeze.
After the trip to the ancient house, we visited a market
to buy fresh food. Although the tour included meals and restaurants throughout
the trip, but we were craving for fresh seafood, so the tour guide took us to
the market then cooked for us on the boat.
Sau khi check in và ngồi nghỉ ngơi xong thì tụi mình bắt đầu lên tàu. Trước giờ mình luôn nghe mọi người nói là người miền tây thì dễ thương lắm nhưng thực sự không thể ngờ được là level max như này luôn. Luôn luôn tươi cười, nồng hậu chân thành.
Khi lên tàu cũng vừa đầu giờ chiều nên tuii mình bắt đầu đi dọc dòng Mekong, ngắm trời xanh mây trắng thênh thang... Lên tàu được uống nước dưa tươi đúng điệu miền tây, tụi mình mang theo mấy chai vang nên mở ra uống và nhâm nhi chocolate và trái cây. Mọi người muốn uống vang hay ăn vặt thì chủ động mang đi nha vì về miền tây thì không có mấy thứ đó chỉ có trái cây hải sản và rau củ rẻ ơi là rẻ thuiii.
Kết hợp với lênh đênh sông nước, nghe nhạc ngắm cảnh phơi nắng ngắm hoàng hôn thì chúng mình được đưa đi thăm 1 ngôi nhà cổ 200 tuổi ở đây, nơi 3 thế hệ sinh sống. Mọi người có thể đặt chọn ăn tối tại ngôi nhà cổ này hoặc đi lên tàu ăn tối. Tuii mình ăn trên tàu cho mát.
Ah sau khi thăm nhà cổ thì tụi mình đi chợ mua đồ tươi. Mặc dù tour có sẵn phần ăn trên tàu và nhà hàng trong suốt hành trình, nhưng vì tụi mình thèm ăn đồ hải sản tươi nên được bác tour guide dẫn vô chợ đồ tươi và mua rồi lên tàu nấu dùm luôn.

At the end of the tour is a romantic lunch in the
boundless green garden of Le Longanier restaurant of Victoria Cruise. The
restaurant is designed in Indochina architecture, stunning backgrounds for
taking photos ^^.
